Studio Field

Documaker Name

The name assigned to the converted form, section, or paragraph list when the Documaker document is converted.

This name also appears in the New Name column in Studio’s Conversion Manager on the Choose Files to Convert dialog.

Type (Form, Section, Paragraph, Paragraph List)

Appears in the Type column on the Choose Files to Convert dialog in Studio.

The Type determines what kind of resource is created by the conversion.

Description

Appears on the Convert Files and Finish dialog.

This description is used as the library manager description on the converted resource, if you choose to check the resource into the library on the conversion’s Convert Files and Finish dialog.

The form’s description, as entered in the Add-In, will be used as the description in the Library Manager for both the form and un-embedded sections. The form’s description will also appear in the Description field in the Form Options for the form.

The un-embedded section’s description, as entered in the Add-In, will appear in the Description field on the Section Options of the section.

Effective Date

Appears on the Convert Files and Finish dialog.

The effective date is used as the Library Manager’s effective date on the converted resource, if you choose to check the resource into the library on the conversion’s Convert Files and Finish dialog.

If you are converting a form that contains sections, the form’s effective date is also used as the effective date for the sections.

If you are converting a paragraph list file that contains paragraphs, the paragraph lists effective date is also used as the effective date for the paragraphs.

Comments

Comments entered on Form Properties appear in Form Options - Task Comments of the converted form.

Comments entered on Section Properties appear in Section Options- Task Comments of the converted section.

Comments entered on Paragraph List Properties appear in the Paragraph List Options – Task Comments of the converted paragraph list file.

Comments entered on Paragraph Properties appear in the Paragraph Options – Task Comments of the converted paragraph file.

Paper Stock

The Studio Conversion displays the Paper Stock information in the output area. For example: [03:15:15PM] Paper Stock: <20lbW>.

If Paper Stock applies to the form, open the form and update the Paper Stock parameter in the Form Options.

Staple

The Studio Conversion displays the Staple information in the output area. For example: [03:15:15PM] Staple: <yes>

If Staple applies to the form, open the form and update the Staple parameter in the Form Options.

Class

Appears on the Convert Files and Finish dialog.

The class is used as the library managers’ class on the converted resource if you choose to check the resource into the library on the Conversions’ Convert Files and Finish dialog.

The class value is also assigned to a form’s sections (if your form contains sections) and to a paragraph list’s paragraphs (if your paragraph list contains paragraphs).

Project

Appears on the Convert Files and Finish dialog.

The project is used as the library manager’s class on the converted resource if you choose to check the resource into the library on the conversion’s Convert Files and Finish dialog.

The project value is also assigned to a form’s sections (if your form contains sections) and to a paragraph list’s paragraphs (if your paragraph list contains paragraphs).

Recipients

Appears in Form Options under Default Recipients on the converted form.

The Name and Description of recipients created in the Add-In will be listed in the output area of Studio when converting the Documaker document.

The output area will list the recipient for both the form and the form’s section(s).

Metadata

Values entered against existing metadata names will appear in the Form Metadata on the converted form.

Newly added metadata names and values defined in the Add-In will appear in the Form Metadata on the converted form.

You can display Form Metadata from the Form Options on the converted form.
